New to Hockey - Start with one of our beginning skater programs
Are you interested in introducing your child to skating and the sport of ice hockey? If so, we have a path and plan for your child.
At this time we are not offering Learn to Skate due to current restrictions. If you would like your name added to a list of people to contact if/when we are able to offer this, please email aldlts6U@wildcathockey.org
LTS program
Learn the fundamentals of skating. The LTS program has two
sessions. Each session runs about 10 weeks with a 1 hour
practice session per week. Practice times and days may vary, but
will typically be early Saturday mornings. Once the schedule
is available you may access it on the website (see the link
below). Skates and a hockey or bike helmet is all that is
needed.
more information about Learn to Skate.
LTP program
Children continue the fundamentals of skating with
added hockey skills and scrimmages during practice. Full hockey
equipment is required. What was previously called "Learn To Play
(LTP)" will now be incorporated with the 6U and 8U programs. There
is no longer a separate level for LTP. Please sign up for 6U or 8U
level depending on your child’s age. If your skater is
new to hockey, and not sure if he/she is quite ready to go all-in,
we will have a path for them, contact either the
6Uor
8UALD for information
about that.

Schedule: Once the schedule is set you will be able to access it from the website ( schedule page ).
Registration
A USA hockey registration number is required, which is free
for kids 6 or under, as of Dec. 31. If your child is over 6
years of age and you are registering for LTS please contact our
registrar prior to registration to see about possibly
waiving the USA hockey fee. The USA hockey fee is required
for all other levels.
